Postponement of the ESA-ISA Joint Congress in Paris to April 21st-24th 2021.

The ESA and ISA Councils have been closely following the international progression of the COVID‑19 pandemic as predictions of its extent have progressively worsened and lockdowns have been extended. We are particularly concerned that restrictions on large meetings and international travel are quite likely either still to be in place in September or to have been reimposed because of a recurrence of the pandemic after the lifting of restrictions.

To remove uncertainty and minimise possible disruption, the ESA and ISA Councils have therefore decided to postpone the ESA-ISA Paris Meeting until 21st-24th April 2021. The location and format of the meeting will be unchanged.

The following have been agreed:

1. If you have already registered for the meeting you can either carry your registration forward to April 2021 or you can request a full refund.

2. Abstracts already submitted will be carried forward. They will be available on-line and can be updated until the new abstract closure date.

3. The new dates are as follows

Registration and abstract submission re-open            1st September 2020

Abstract submission closes                                             30th October 2020

Early Bird registration closes                                           31st January 2021

On-line registration closes                                               12th April 2021

ESA-ISA Congress                                                             21-24th April 2021

We apologise for the inconvenience and disruption this will cause, but consider this the safest option. We look forward to seeing you in Paris in the spring.
